Riverway Rowing Club is located on the scenic banks of the Ross River. Our club, at the Loam Island Community Centre, houses our fleet of modern boats and is the venue for training, weekend social gatherings and regattas. It is also home of James Cook University, Townsville Grammar School and Ryan Catholic College rowing.

Our club has a diverse mix of men and women of all ages, fitness levels and rowing ambitions. Membership for those under 18 is only via affiliated school rowing programs. We strive to make our club welcoming, supportive and fun for all who want to row.’

Riverway Rowing Club has rowing programs and competitions to suit everyone: come-and-try, learn-to-row (18 years and over), social rowing, competitive rowing, elite rowing , ‘rowing travel’, corporate learn-to-row / team building .

The club has a great range of good quality boats available for use by members – both skulls and sweep, singles to eights.
