Townsville Outrigger Canoe Club Inc is a member of the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association and pursues the ideals of the sport.  We provide social and competitive paddling experiences for both male and female members aged from 12 years to 112.

Beginners programs are conducted in four weekly Sunday morning sessions at specified times throughout the year.  Sessions focus on fitness, fun and paddling.  Beginners then transition to social paddling including to squad training on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

The Club has strong representation at Regattas conducted in North Qld where we compete with other clubs and experience team work, friendship, challenge and personal achievement.  The club also participates in various Queensland, national or international events in small and large craft.

Members of Townsville Outrigger Canoe Club share a love of water, canoeing and being at one with the ocean and with people of various fitness levels and capabilities.  We promote the Townsville Region and our community which is highlighted at our very own Around Magnetic Island Changeover Race.
