Fibres and Fabrics is a member based association of people interested in the use and promotion of fibre and textiles in art and craft fields.

The group interests include basketry, cross stitch, embroidery, felting, knitting, lace making, paper, patchwork, quilting, spinning, soft sculpture, surface design and weaving.

We have a general meeting every Wednesday from 10 am at the Townsville Show grounds.

There are various interest groups within Fibres – Spinning, weaving, allied textiles, Bookies, creative group, lace making, embroidery, patchwork and quilting that meet at various times and run member based workshops
