Based in Townsville, the Townsville Veteran, Vintage & Historic Motor Club Inc started in 1968. Our objectives are to:
- Encourage the preservation, restoration and use of veteran, vintage and historic vehicles (vehicles more than 30 years old)
- Promote and organise rallies and other events that are appropriate for the use and display of these vehicles
- Extend to owners of veteran, vintage and historic vehicles, and all other people interested in these vehicles, the facilities, privileges and hospitality enjoyed in conjunction with the club.
With members in Ingham, The Burdekin (Ayr & Home Hill) and Charters Towers, we welcome anyone interested in the restoration and use of veteran, vintage & historic vehicles.
General meeting: Every 3rd Week of the month (except in December) at the Thuringowa Sound Shell (adjacent to the former Townsville City Council building, Thuringowa Drive, Kirwan) -visitors interested in veteran, vintage & historic vehicles and becoming a member welcome.
Major events: Townsville Combined Club Swap Meet & Easter Hub Rally
Other events: All British Day hosted by the Northern Jag Club & Charters Towers Swap Meet
We try to have at least 2 runs per month for our members and the public to enjoy
