Provides assistance for all seafarers. The Mission works closely with Australian Government agencies and port users to improve the treatment of seafarers and shipping practices in Australian waters. We strive to promote an atmosphere of family, a sense of service and solidarity among those in maritime ministry, and strengthen ties between Australian and international MTS centres to reinforce our global MTS family and support networks. At the Port of Townsville the Mission has a recreational area, cafe, library area, chapel, and relaxation area.
