Lotus Place NQ is a dedicated support service and resource centre for Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants. We provide support to people who experienced childhood abuse in institutional settings including out-of-home care.

Services provided include:

Information and assistance to access services and resources.
Individual advocacy and support to access and navigate government and community services
Help to obtain personal records, reconnect with family and trace their history (Find and Connect)
Support for regional peer networks and activities, including a weekly peer support group in Townsville, and regular outreach to Ayr, Charters Towers and Cairns
Access to professional support and counselling services; and information and referral to other services
Support to access the National Redress Scheme
Provision of education and communication to community around the impacts of childhood institutionalisation and abuse
