Althea Project’s Foster and Kinship Program (AFKP) previously known as Shared Family Care, is a foster and kinship care support service for children who are subject to the Department of Child Safety intervention.
AFKP is funded to recruit, train, assess and support foster carers and to provide out of home care placements for children and young people across Townsville, Charters Towers, Hughenden and Burdekin.
AFKP is funded by Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs
