- Responsible for the collection and enforcement of unpaid infringement notice fines and court ordered monetary fines issued in Queensland
- People can choose to pay the fine in full or in part payments using a variety of payment methods
- If individuals disagree with an infringement notice fine, they may be eligible to go to court to have the matter heard
- If fines are defaulted, SPER can suspend a person’s driver licence, deduct a certain amount from wages, order the bank to transfer money from their account to SPER, seize and sell assets or issue a warrant for the individual’s arrest and imprisonment
