The AEC maintains an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services and targeted education and public awareness programs.

We also run the Indigenous Electoral Participation Program (IEPP). This program aims to increase electoral participation amonghAboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples. It works with communities and partners to deliver culturally relevant services, such as voter enrolment, electoral information, and tailored resources.
