Since 1974, NQCC has been a not-for-profit, non-government organisation protecting North Queensland’s land, waters, and wildlife through advocacy, education, and community action. Our region stretches from Bowen to Cardwell and west to the NT border. We work for sustainable land use, biodiversity protection, and climate action, guided by respect for First Nations knowledge and rights. Our Vision is flourishing communities living in balance with a healthy natural environment.

You can get involved in many ways. Sign up for our newsletter or attend our monthly networking meeting, Green Drinks, which is open and casual for everyone. Also check out our events calendar – we always have engaging events lined up, such as educational screenings or workshops. Connect with like-minded advocates, learn new skills, and help protect North Queensland’s environment.

Channel your passion and skills into campaigns, events, non-profit experience, or practical administration skills. You could take action on Climate, Waterways, Nature, and Renewables; organise community events; gain hands-on experience in governance, fundraising, HR, and partnerships; or learn to use customer relationship software (CRM) to strengthen your resume.
