Behavioural Support involves structured behavioural assessments under the Disability Act 2006 to provide Proactive and Reactive Strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans mainly for NDIS-funded participants. Provides Support Coordination , Training and Mentoring.
This may involve training of formal and informal supports, providing sensory advice, or assisting the primary person to access alternative communication that supports social skills, independence and progress towards life’s goals and aspirations.
PoDDSS is an NDIS registered provider and meets the requirements of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Requirements demonstrating:
• Compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct, including an orientation module for workers
• Meeting NDIS Practice Standards
• Ensuring a complaints system is in place
• Reporting certain types of incidents to the NDIS Commission, including incidents or allegations of abuse and neglect
• Complying with requirements in relation to behaviour support plans and the use of restrictive practices
