The peak body of carers in Queensland. Endeavours to respond to needs of carers through:
- Provision of information – carer support kits, workshops, presentations, newsletters.
- Advocacy and counselling in house or external.
- Better Start for Children with disability – funding for early intervention.
- Community Development:
- Support groups – facilitation and/or capacity building
- Local projects to assist carers.
- Working with and through government agencies and service providers to address carer needs.
- Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Program.
- Agency for No Interest Loan (NILS) program – for carers only.
- Venue for hire.
