The students and staff at Annandale may receive additional support through the advice and programs of the Learning Support Teacher and the Special Education Program.
Students with additional needs are brought to the attention of the Special Needs group. Their needs are reviewed and discussed and the group plans a process for further investigating the student’s needs and determining the most appropriate support for the student.
Annandale State School is fortunate to have Special Education Program (SEP).
The school and SEP team are also supported by Dept of Education Regional Advisory staff.
A student may be supported by the Annandale State School SEP after the student has been identified as having a verifiable disability, in one of the Dept of Education’s designated categories.
The Annandale SEP is designated to support students with the following verified disabilities:
- Intellectual impairment
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
