Founded in 1992 by visionary members of Congress, the Indigenous arm of the Uniting Church, Carinity Education are delighted to be continuing the operation of Shalom Christian College from 2019.
Situated in the Townsville suburb of Condon, 15km south-west of Townsville town centre, Shalom Christian College is an independent, co-educational day school, designed to provide a culturally safe and supportive learning environment for students from the Townsville community. The school is privileged to be set on 28 hectares of treed land which gives students ample space to walk and play.

At Shalom the curriculum plans and assessment cater for all students from Prep – Year 7, as outlined by Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA). Within this curriculum there is a very clear focus on literacy and numeracy.
Shalom’s curriculum provides a balanced approach ensuring learning is in a supportive environment, meeting the emotional and creative needs of the individual child.
