Lord lives in Townsville: a city in the dry tropics. It is the closest city to north west Queensland where she grew up in the Shire of McKinlay. The landscape provided many images, colours and places for formative experiences.
Since retiring Lord works in her studio and runs Gallery 48 on The Strand.
