The Good Shepherd Home is a residential aged care home serving Townsville and the surrounding region. A mission based, not-for-profit organisation. We focus on providing exceptional care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. The Good Shepherd Home was established in 1972 and aims to support our community in Townsville.
As well as residential care, The Good Shepherd Home offers respite care, dementia care, palliative care and a Day Therapy Centre.
We have a dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Team who encourage residents to participate in exercise programs, arts and crafts activities, visiting entertainment, outings, buggy rides as well as our social hubs including Café Memories, our hairdressing salon and gardens.
The Good Shepherd is situated on the Ross River and next to the Palmetum Botanical Garden.
