This fantastic little Dragon Boat Club was formed in November 2019 in Townsville, North Queensland. We formed primarily as the DBQ Development Club for the Qld Sonic Dragons. DBQ, short for Dragon Boat Queensland spread it’s Junior Wings through the Sport Development Program to introduce this exciting sport across Queensland, with a strong focus on North Queensland.

Come along and try dragon boating for something a little bit different. The sport is exciting, affordable and addictive, as well as being fantastic for forming friendships, fitness and learning to work together as one. Dragon Boating has been described as the ultimate team sport and once you start watching some racing, you will understand why!!!

We are based at the LOAM ISLAND BOAT RAMP, Rasmussen.
