Established and supported by the Townsville Community since 1966 Western Suburbs is a well recognised and respected Kindergarten. It has a tradition of high quality education providing the best possible start for your child.

Western Suburbs Kindergarten is an approved Kindergarten Program Provider under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS). Western Suburbs Kindergarten is affiliated with C&K; an approved Central Governing Body that administers the Kindergarten’s funding. This funding covers part of the operational costs of running the centre and providing a quality Kindergarten program. The remaining costs are covered through parent fees. Some families may be eligible for a discount through the QKFS Plus Kindy Support Subsidy. The Kindergarten Program is informed by the Early Years Learning
Framework’s (EYLF) five ‘Learning Outcomes’. Educators use C&K’s Curriculum Approach – listening and learning together to guide every interaction, negotiation and collaboration that occurs within the learning environment and for planning and documenting the program and children’s learning.
