Thuringowa Brass Band, based in Townsville, North Queensland, is a non-profit, community brass band that plays at many different events in and around the city, but also ventures north and south where it plays in support of regional community festivals. For over 50 years, the band has played a variety of musical repertoire, appropriate and suitable to its audience—including movie themes, light classics, popular music through the ages, as well as the traditional marches and hymns.
