Have fun serving the community with Sunrise Rotary Townsville.
The Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise is a group of Townsville people dedicated to serving the community both locally and abroad to make the world a better place. Our activities and programs are quite broad, following the ethos of “Service Above Self”, with some of our current and past activities being: education and development opportunities for young North Queenslanders, refurbishing the Ronald McDonald House kitchen facilities, developing Thuringowa Park & Castle Hill Goat Track, helping the less fortunate through grants or other means, and helping eradicate Townsville and Suva, Fiji of Dengue Fever. Our projects generally focus on the areas of Basic Education and Literacy, Maternal and Child Health, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water and Sanitation, Economic and Community Development, Peace and Conflict Prevention / Resolution. Our club was founded for the purpose of fellowship and community service.
Meetings are held at The Fish Inn Resort at The Rockpool, The Strand, Townsville every Friday morning at 6:30am for a 7:00am start. At these meetings we enjoy fellowship with our friends and discuss our projects and events, whilst having a lovely breakfast. Visit our website to see more about what we do and RSVP for breakfast. Come to a meeting and get involved!
