Medicare is Australia’s universal health care scheme. It guarantees all Australians (and some overseas visitors) access to a wide range of health and hospital services at low or no cost. This occurs regardless of where you live or your ability to pay.
The Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) describes the medical services, hospital services, tests, imaging and scans subsidised by Medicare.
