Guided by Together Townsville’s four pillars — Networks, Training, Partnerships, and Connections — the program builds participants’ confidence and employability while giving business partners space to showcase their opportunities through practical learning and clear pathways into work or further training.

Participants will gain real-life experience that builds their confidence and skills while providing employment exposure and pathways across various industries over a 6 weeks course, delivered 2 days per week.

Course includes:

– Crucial Conversations – mastering your dialogue training

– Community Induction Program training

– Personalised Career Development Plan including resume writing, interview coaching, skill development, and job search techniques

– Micro credential training and upskilling opportunities

– Direct access to employment and training opportunities through various industries

This course is valued over $2000 and delivered at no cost to eligible participants.

Business Partners can support by:

– attending the Program as a guest speaker, sharing about their workforce requirements and employer expectations, industry pathways and job availabilities

– allowing participants to attend a site visit at their premises to learn how their business is structured and what staffing requirements look like

– sharing job vacancies with participants who may be potential applicants
