Men’s Sheds are a vital community investment delivering programs and activities that foster community spirit, connect communities and contribute to building a more inclusive Australia. Townsville Men’s Shed (TMS) is a place for men to engage in hands on activities and to interact with other men, and by doing so, to develop a sense of meaning and value around the process of completing projects or participating in training and educational activities. Most ‘shedders’ see themselves as having a strong sense of belonging and ownership of their Shed, share fellowship, camaraderie and devote most of their time to worthwhile community projects.
