At the heart of TheatreiNQ is an ensemble of theatre professionals producing plays of the highest standard for both Townsville residents and visitors and other audiences when on tour.  Via competitive auditions, community actors will join the ensemble for large cast plays such as the annual “Shakespeare Under the Stars” outdoor production in Queens Gardens in September.

The Company also runs “The Bridge Project” to fill the void when James Cook University ceased its theatre course.  The Bridge provides the necessary skills to selected young people to then enable them to be competitive at audition for entry into the national tertiary institutions (NIDA, Vic College, WAPA etc).

The Company uses established performing venues such as the School of Arts Theatre and Riverway Arts Centre.

In the past, Terri Brabon has also directed the family work for the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.
