Aims to remove the barriers to access for children with additional needs. This is achieved through the Inclusion Support Agencies (ISAs), Inclusion Support Subsidy (ISS) & Flexible Support Funding.
The target groups for inclusion support are:
- Children with disabilities, including children with ongoing high support needs
- Children from culturally & linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Children from a refugee or humanitarian intervention background
- Indigenous children.
- The objective of the ISA is to promote & maintain high quality, inclusive education & care for all children, including those with ongoing high support needs, in eligible early childhood education & care settings. This is achieved by increasing the knowledge & skills of educators & the capacity of education & care services, through providing professional development, advice & access to additional resources as well as inclusion support.
