Registered Local Charitable Status in Australia, must have designated supervisor (paid or unpaid), listed with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission. Social Enterprises must be able to provide a letter from a CPA-certified accountant identifying their business as a social enterprise as per Queensland Government guidelines or be certified with a recognised body (eg. Social Traders, Queensland Social Enterprise Council).
Start-Ups/Sole Traders:
First 12 months of operation or a Sole Trader with less than 5 employees. Must be a Townsville-based business that work to enhance and extend services that improve the quality of life in the community.
Small Businesses:
Townsville-based businesses with between 5 and 50 employees that work to enhance and extend services that improve the quality of life in the community.
Corporates:
Local large-scale businesses or businesses with a statewide/nationwide presence that seek to give back to the community.
Individual:
Individual person who holds their own membership rather than a joint entity. (Please note that we recommend individual members use their personal email, not a work email address on the application)
